Assigned Work for 6th Year Students during school closure
Hello all! I hope this message finds you and your families, safe and well. So here we are again! I will be using Fishgeog to upload work as Schoolwise is acting up. Whenever it's down..please come to this page to access assigned work. See Below!
My message from last week:
So just a quick message to wish you all a very happy New Year and to remind you that we have got this! Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is looking likely that I won't be seeing your lovely faces next week. That being said, I am here..only ever at the end of an email if you need me.
You are VERY well prepared thusfar and for those of you engaged during lockdown, we will get through it again. For those who didn't, there ain't nothing stopping you now, so catch up and focus your efforts on the Leaving Cert! Keep up the revision that I set out for you over Christmas. A lot of you need to revise Regional and keep going back over your Higher Level Questions. Cannot stress enough, how you should record them and listen back on your phone while out for a walk etc. No harm in giving Migration and Population and good mulling over too.
Don't worry about the field trip for now. I will no doubt, have countless more emails and Phone calls to make there, to seek clarity on what we do now. But whatever the outcome, you will not be penalised. If anything, you guys are a very unique group of students. As unlike last year's students, you have had not one, but two unprecedented lockdowns to contend with. (That means you're just the most amazing, resilient little divils out there!!)
Now more than ever, we need to work together to ensure you don't fall behind and you all reach your full potential..which you have in spades.
Don't get bogged down on the what-ifs, keep going as though we are having mocks in a few weeks as who knows, that may still be the case. The leaving cert is still going ahead as normal and there is no mention of predicted grades, so we have to keep going.
Sorry to quote Dory, but it's mine now!..so remember, Ms Fisher says to "just keep swimming, just keep swimming!!"🐋🐬🐟
Keep the faith..We got this kiddos!!
Best wishes,
Your Favourite Teacher

I have decided to hold off starting the Central Place Theory until next week as I want you to go through some more Urban essys before we move on. We have looked at urban problems in the developing world in detail but we also need to look at the developed world. We will look at Dublin in detail.
I am attaching a sample essay below. This can be used to answer Question 5, 7 and 9 in the sample exam questions I gave you last week. I want you to pick one of these essays and use the sample below to help you plan out your answer. Send it to me when you are sending the other 2. These 3 essays are due by Sunday
